And unlike with a dedicated photo frame, the app doesn’t require any work on your part or to sign up for a third-party service. You can use existing iCloud or local photo albums on the iPad. No data is sent from the app and the photos are simply displayed in the app.
There are a number of settings to help customize the photo album experience. You can choose an interval where the picture will change and set a time in which the app should be active. An auto-brightness options allows you to automatically adjust brightness during the time of day.
The app can also be used plugged in or on battery power.
Re-Frame is a free download now on the App Store. An in-app purchase of $9.99 will remove the advertising banner when showing photos.
