PS5 30th Anniversary bundles are getting a restock but there’s a catch

Sony has confirmed that the ultra-limited 30th Anniversary PS5 bundle will be restocked on September 29, 2025, following a lightning-fast initial sellout in 2024.
The 30th Anniversary PS5 bundles were first released in 2024 and sold out almost immediately. Due to their status as extremely sought-after collector’s items, listings on resale sites surged, with prices reaching up to $10,000 for the PS5 Pro version within hours of launch.
Sony enforcing pre-order rules
Likely to combat bots and scalpers, Sony is limiting pre-orders to one unit per PSN account and will open access in stages. PlayStation Plus members can pre-order from July 21, with general access beginning on July 23). Quantities remain “extremely limited,” so demand is still expected to be intense.
As of writing, six countries have been confirmed to be getting the limited restock, including Canada, France, Italy, Ireland, Japan, and the UK. A restock in the US hasn’t been confirmed, and it’s unclear if one is planned.
The bundle includes a gray-and-black PS5 console modeled after the 1994 original, a matching DualSense controller, and retro-themed packaging. A PlayStation Portal branded with the classic colors will also be available.
It’s worth noting that this restock only includes the digital version of the base PS5. The PS5 Pro featuring the same anniversary decal, which fetches a much higher price on eBay, is not getting a restock, at least until Sony says otherwise.
