Naruto live-action to get MCU makeover

Naruto live-action is being directed and written by someone who has worked on brilliant MCU projects. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Naruto has been the most popular Japanese property for 25 years, and it’s worth mentioning that even though it was concluded years ago, enthusiasts still compare it with every other anime. Kishimoto’s brainchild has also been adapted into various media forms including video games, TV shows, movies, and novels.

The live-action of the famous franchise has been in the development process since 2015. However, now, with the alliance of one of the most talented directors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we can certainly get to hear the news of its arrival on the big screens soon.

Even though Naruto’s live-action was one of the most anticipated projects ever since it was first announced, now, as the name of a celebrated director is involved, fans can’t wait for its release.

Naruto live-action to see Shang-Chi’s director’s involvement

Naruto’s The Hidden Leaf arc will be adapted into a live-action and it will see Destin Daniel Cretton not just serving as the director but also as the writer. He will be accompanied by Jeyun Munford as the producer.

Naruto’s original creator Masashi Kishimoto is so happy with the news that in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he revealed that the live-action couldn’t have gotten a better director. He also said, “After enjoying his films and understanding that his forte is in creating solid dramas about people, I became convinced that there is no other director for Naturo.”

Moreover, as per Kishimoto, when he met Cretton, he realized that the director is very open-minded, so they may not feel any difficulties working together.

Naruto is an animanga series that comes with incredible action sequences and emotional weight, so fans are worried about how things will turn out in the live-action. There are several good anime live-actions lately, including One Piece, but there are several others that couldn’t perform well. Hence, we shall not predict anything before the arrival of the actual product.

However, if Cretton can create the world of Naruto the way the audience wants it to be, the live-action project will surely be the biggest of all we have seen previously.
