After Will Poulter makes some greedy pharmaceutical decisions in Death of a Unicorn, everyone wants to know if he’s going to be returning as Chef Luca in The Bear Season 4.
In the new horror-comedy movie – out on April 4 – Poulter plays Shepard Leopold, the arrogant son of a wealthy couple who decide to harvest the blood of a unicorn for their own gains.
As things start to go wrong, the family, along with their visiting employee Elliot and his daughter Ridley, are forced to fight for their survival. (To see what we thought of the new movie, check out our Death of a Unicorn review!)
It’s a far cry from his fan-favourite character on The Bear, Chef Luca, who takes a softer approach to life. Fans of the show have been speculating as to whether Poulter will reprise his role, and in an interview with Dexerto about A24‘s new release, Poulter spoke about his potential return.
Will Poulter wants to come back in The Bear Season 4
When asked if he’d be returning to the fourth season of the Hulu series, Poulter remained somewhat tight-lipped about the upcoming episodes. But the star revealed he’d love to return, and has even been trying to maintain his culinary skills in the meantime.
“It remains to be seen,” he told Dexerto. “I’ve been trying to keep up my cooking, just in case. But I would, of course, love that.
“I have so much fun on that set. I love everyone involved in that project, and it’s one of the funnest things to shoot. So yeah, I hope so.”
Chef Luca has only appeared in three episodes of the cooking show, but quickly became a fan favourite among the regular cast members.
In the Season 3 finale, he appeared at the grand final dinner service of Ever. He spoke to some of his idols, got to know Sydney, and ended the night at a party with the rest of the team.
The Bear Season 4 is due to be released sometime in 2025, with the exact release date to be confirmed.
Death of a Unicorn is in cinemas from April 4.
