One thing that makes the experience interesting in Fortnite is how different every chapter and season can feel. After all, devs tend to shake things up by vaulting and unvaulting weapons and adding new POIs and even NPCs you can interact with, among other mechanics.

Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2, is going to end on May 2, 2025. 

This information was previously leaked, but it’s now confirmed since the in-game Battle Pass states that it will only be available until that date. However, before the current season ends, players can expect devs to release content as usual.

The v34.10 update on March 11, 2025, brought the Rocket Drill, Outlaw Shotgun, Pump & Dump, and new mythics to the Battle Royale – and there are still plenty of things to look forward to next.

Assuming things go smoothly, the next few updates in the current season should drop on these dates below, according to leaks:

• v34.20 (Fortnite OG Season 3) – March 25, 2025
• v34.30 – April 8, 2025
• v34.40- April 22, 2025
• v35.00 – (Chapter 6 Season 3)

Gameplay-wise, the current season is quite the shift from the previous one. Players may no longer have to deal with swords, but the new Kneecapper bat has now taken over the meta, with people often camping in terrain areas to send unfortunate players to their doom.
