Valorant’s new Cyrax bundle looks like Halo but players think it’s “hot garbage”

Valorant fans have expressed their disappointment with the new Cyrax bundle, with some calling it “hot garbage” and comparing it to Halo’s iconic Needler. 

Ever since Valorant launched back in 202, Riot Games has kept upping the stakes when it comes to the cosmetics side of things. Even though there aren’t skins for individual Agents, each weapon has a laundry list of unique looks to attach. 

The most sought-after of these appear in the Night Market, giving you a second chance to purchase them if you missed them. Well, except the Champions skins, of course. 

With another big update rolling around, and the arrival of Waylay, there is a new bundle on offer – Cyrax. And it hasn’t taken long for players to compare to another franchise – Halo.

Valorant fans aren’t in a rush to buy Cyrax bundle

The new bundle, which will transform the look of your Vandal, Guardian, Ghost, and Stinger with crystals sticking out of them, does resemble the Needler from Halo. 

“We got the Needler in Val before GTA6,” one fan joked. “That’s the gun from Halo omg,” another added. “How do they manage to make the needler from Halo look so uncool in this many variations,” another said. 

Other players were a little less complimentary of it. “New Cyrax bundle is hot garbage,” another commented. “They tried to do something different and failed quite miserably,” another chimed in. 

Another player said it has been “Ls after Ls for Valorant recently” when it comes to new skins. “Last time they cooked with a bundle was valiant hero,” another agreed. 

Players were also less than pleased with the VCT Karambit bundle that Riot released at the start of 2025 too, especially with the price.

That is a criticism that has continued with Cyrax too, so it might be something that the Valorant devs have to consider changing up.
