Umamusume Pretty Derby: Kitasan Black stats & everything you need to know

If you’re playing Umamusume: Pretty Derby, there’s one support card every player should be saving for, Kitasan Black.
Kitasan Black is an SSR Speed support card that has been dominating Umamusume: Pretty Derby since her 2021 release. In fact, she’s consistently ranked as one of the most powerful and flexible supports in the entire game.
Built for Speed training, the card delivers massive stat boosts, top-tier race skills, and reliable bond-building, making her a go-to pick across nearly every PvE and PvP mode.
So, whether before you go spending your hard-earned Carats on the latest banner, be sure to check out our guide to get all the details on Kitasan Black, including her stats, skills, and why exactly you need to pull on her banner when it releases.
When is Kitasan Black coming to global?
There is no confirmed release date for the Kitasan Black SSR Speed Support card.
However, based on the Japanese release timeline, the card debuted just five weeks after launch, during her banner event on March 30, 2021.
If Cygames follows a similar schedule, then players can expect her banner to arrive sometime around late July to early August.
Why is it meta?
Kitasan Black has been a staple in high-ranking JP accounts for years. Even after newer support cards dropped, few have matched her consistency or impact. Her kit offers:
- Massive Speed training boosts
- Consistent bond gains
- Amazing skills
- Excellent event bonuses
This makes her perfect for any front-position build, and thanks to her raw stats and synergy, she’s flexible enough to slot into non-meta teams too.
So, whether you’re training for URA Finals, PvP, or trying to build your favorite horse girl to perfection, Kitasan fits into nearly every comp.
