Tiktoker stunned after Uber driver threatens to leaves him stranded in snowstorm

A TikToker revealed he was left with a desperate choice after his Uber driver threatened to kick him out of his car and leave him stuck in a snowstorm.

Rather than hailing a taxi to take you to your destination, Uber is now the go-to transportation for a car ride to another location. While trips often go by without any issues, horror stories are always shared across social media.

The latest Uber ride to go wrong, as revealed on TikTok, left podcast host and social media influencer Sean Patrick stranded in the snow on his way to a hotel.

In a clip that has amassed over 500,000 views, Patrick claimed he was the victim of an Uber “extortion.” When arriving in Montreal, Canada, he ordered an Uber to drop him off at his hotel late at night.

Caught in a snowstorm, Patrick noted that his driver was initially cordial, but things quickly turned sour.

“Get ready with me to get extorted by my Uber driver,” he started.

Uber driver pressures TikToker to pay maximum tip during storm

After putting his bags in the trunk of the car, the driver began complaining about the conditions and, what’s more, how much he was getting paid to complete the trip.

“This guy proceeds to complain the entire way about not getting paid enough and asks me relentlessly, ‘How much did you pay for this ride?’” Patrick added.

The driver allegedly continued to make a fuss over how much of a cut Uber was taking from his paycheck, and when they were only a few blocks away from the hotel, he abruptly decided to end the ride and leave Patrick stranded in the storm.

“He says, ‘I’m ending the ride and he does.”

After failing to drop his customer off at his destination, the Uber driver reportedly told Patrick to give him a five-star rating on the app and the highest possible tip. If not, he would not drive him the rest of the way.

Left with “no choice” as he “needed to get into [his] hotel and out of the guy’s car”, Patrick agreed to give the driver five stars and tip him the maximum amount. However, the TikToker noted that the Uber worker made sure the payment had gone through before continuing the journey and letting him out of the car.

“Thankfully, he opened the trunk because he could have easily just left with all of my stuff,” Patrick added at the end of the TikTok.

In a follow-up video, Patrick revealed that after reporting the issue, Uber only offered him a $5 refund.
