TikToker shot dead on stream by hooded assassin

A TikToker and reggae star was shot dead by a hooded assassin in a terrifying live stream execution.

On April 28, 25-year-old TikToker Baba Skeng, real name Jabari Johnson, was playing an online game with a friend in St Andrew, Jamaica outside of a shop when a man appeared in the background.

The hooded man, dressed in all black, then pulled out a handgun with his left hand and fired at the TikToker multiple times from behind while he was streaming.

Immediately, Johnson’s body hit the ground and the masked individual fired several more shots into his body before fleeing on foot.

Content creators targeted in executions

Baba Skeng’s father, reggae musician Jah Mason, confirmed to the Jamacia Observer that his son had been killed.

Authorities arrived at the crime scene and pronounced Johnson dead. They’ve since launched a “full investigation” into the murder, but so far, there haven’t been any arrests.

Following his death, fans paid tribute to Baba Skeng on social media.

“Can’t believe I’m saying this but R.i.P J.B Fly high twin,” one commented. “Rest in Love my baby,” mourned another.

This isn’t the first time a TikToker or live streamer has been murdered. As The Daily Mail reports, in 2024, Jamaican TikToker Xavier ‘Niah Gang’ Fogah was gunned down.

Just 14 days later, another Jamaican TikToker known as Marlon ‘41 Busshead’ Samuels was fatally shot in Montego Bay.

It’s just not male TikTokers who are victims of gun violence, either. In 2023, an infamous TikToker dubbed a “Narco Queen” was killed after two assassins opened fire in broad daylight as she made her way to a nail salon.

In another instance, a Korean YouTuber stabbed his rival to death outside of a courthouse in an attempt to prevent him from testifying after filing assault charges over a separate incident. The murderer was handed a life sentence and caused chaos in the courtroom over the judge’s decision.
