This Marvel Rivals hero is absolutely broken but for a good reason

Marvel Rivals keeps evolving. With balance changes and new heroes entering the roster, strategies are shifting. Some fan favorites are climbing the ranks while others are quietly making their mark.
One hero in particular has caught everyone’s attention, even though she isn’t the flashiest character out of the bunch.
She doesn’t have high-tech armor, mystical hammers, or cosmic energy, but somehow, she’s dominating fights in a way that’s both impressive and, honestly, fitting lore-wise.
Recent updates have shaken up the battlefield, with Iron Man’s splash damage being stronger and the Human Torch holding his own after some much-needed buffs. The Thing is an even more reliable tank, however, Squirrel Girl’s presence is something else entirely.
Squirrel Girl is broken, but she might never get nerfed
Squirrel Girl’s Burst Acorn attack is surprisingly strong. It deals 110 spell field damage with a 70% falloff at 3m. That might seem reasonable – until you realize how fast and consistent it is. If you’re in range, you’re in trouble. Shields don’t hold up well, and dodging isn’t always an option.
The thing is, Squirrel Girl being a powerhouse isn’t exactly new. In the comics, she has a reputation for winning fights that seem unwinnable. She famously took down Doctor Doom using nothing but a swarm of squirrels.
Her list of victories is absurd: Thanos, Galactus, and a host of top-tier villains. Writers designed her to be unstoppable in the most unconventional ways.
Her Unbeatable Squirrel Girl series leaned into it – she outsmarts foes very often. In Marvel Rivals, she just overpowers them.
Her stats explain the chaos:
- 110 spell field damage per acorn
- 1.49 acorns per second
- 80 m/s projectile speed
- 10-round magazine
The community is taking notice. “Honestly, lore kinda checks out,” one player said, and then added, “That sling is made of steel or something”, while another joked, “115 if you have a nut allergy.”
Balance tweaks were rolled out on March 13, 2025, but they didn’t make Squirrel Girl any squishier. In fact, that day may never come. Either way, she’s making her mark, and for now, she’s still unbeatable.
