Daredevil: Born Again Episode 8 ends on a shocking note and an absolute banger, and if you’re wanting to listen to the song that takes you into the credits, there’s only one way (for now).
In the closing sequence of the eighth episode, Matt confronts Vanessa at Fisk’s ball, accusing her of orchestrating Foggy’s murder at the hands of Bullseye. She denies it, obviously, and leverages the fact she knows his secret vigilante identity, should he choose to enact any vengeance.
Meanwhile, as Fisk sways with Heather, Bullseye sneaks in and lines up the perfect shot to kill Fisk and finally get his revenge.
However, Matt hears Bullseye’s gun before he pulls the trigger and he dives in front of Fisk, taking a shot in the chest. It’s a jaw-dropping ending, and the team behind Daredevil: Born Again picked the perfect song for this moment.
The song at the end of Daredevil: Born Again Episode 8
Daredevil: Born Again Episode 8 ends with a remix of ‘Storm Clouds Rising’ by the Florida Mass Choir.
The song was originally recorded and released in 1985, but this version is officially titled ‘Storm Clouds Rising, Let’s Go Home.’
Unfortunately, the Daredevil remix isn’t available on Spotify, Apple Music, or other platforms. However, someone has already uploaded it to YouTube, so you can listen to it below:
“Need this on Spotify ASAP. I got chills from that episode,” one user commented. “Crazy ending to the episode, this song was perfectly mixed into the scene. Had to find it,” another wrote.
“I just heard this song on Daredevil and I had to find it its hits hard and it’s definitely going on my playlist,” a third commented, and a fourth added: “I saved the original to my Spotify as SOON as the credits rolled, but the way they remixed it for the show hits different. I can’t wait for a worthy rapper to sample it.”
So far, only Vol. 1 of the Newton Brothers’ score for Daredevil: Born Again has dropped on Spotify, so there’s a chance the ‘Storm Clouds Rising’ remix and other songs from the series could be released as part of a compilation album.
