The Best Handheld PCs To Take On Vacation

Five Winning Handheld Gaming PCs

Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN offer some advice on what the best handheld gaming PCs to take with you on your vacation, or to use on your couch if you have no plans on leaving the house.  It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Steam Deck OLED is the overall winner, the new OLED screen is not just prettier but it also uses less battery power so you can game longer.  The improvements to Steam Deck compatibility on new games has swollen the library of games you can play on Gabe’s handheld.  The original Steam Deck showed up too, as the overall best value for those that want to play on the go but not have to invest a fair chunk of change to do so.

The Steam Deck OLED might be the best overall but it is the MSI Claw 8 AI+ that takes the performance crown, the new version is as impressively capable as the original handheld was awful.  As an example, the MSI Claw 8 AI+ can handle Space Marine 2 on it’s 1080p screen without issue and the Cyberpunk 2077 performance outpaces the competition by a large margin.  If you are looking for the lightest of the bunch, the Asus ROG Ally X offers a nice blend of battery life, performance and portability.  It’s not as fast or pretty as some of the others, but if you want a handheld that offers the most portability this is the one RPS recommends.

The Lenovo Legion Go is the exact opposite as it’s 2560×1600 8.8″ IPS screen with a 144Hz maximum refresh takes up a lot of space in your bag, but if you want a big screen you should check this one out.  Click the link above to check out the full details.
