T+A (Theory and Application), the German high end audio manufacturer, announced that its newly developed Audiophile Streaming Architecture (ASA) G3, introduced in its latest R Series Multi Source Players, will now be implemented in the flagship MP 3100 HV. As high end audio and even more affordable hifi products adjust to the streaming age, the update to this multi-source player of the HV Series ensures support for the latest, highest-quality streaming services.

“With our ASA G3, we have developed a core technology that we are now gradually implementing in new products. ASA G3, along with many other small improvements, prepares the MP 3100 HV G3 for a new phase in its product lifecycle,” says T+A COO Conradin Amft.

The Audiophile Streaming Architecture (ASA) G3 provides access to a wide range of high-quality and convenient Connect services, enabling direct music streaming via Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, or Apple AirPlay 2. Additionally, the updated streaming players integrates various high-res streaming services directly and allows native streaming of DSD files through the streaming client, without the typical conversion to PCM.

With the MP 3100 HV G3, T+A continues the naming convention established with its new R Series: All multi-source devices based on ASA G3 will carry the G3 designation. In addition to the streaming architecture, T+A’s engineers have improved signal processing through the use of a new motherboard. The integrated SACD drive now reads CD text signals and uses that basic data contained on the CD to retrieve enhanced information such as cover art, in the MusicNavigator G3 app using the Gracenote music service.

Another significant improvement is on the unique True1-Bit DSD and Quadruple PCM digital-to-analog converters, and a powerful radio tuner delivers the best FM and DAB+ reception ever seen in a T+A device, also included as standard. While the new multi-source players will be available starting in November 2024, T+A also offers an upgrade option for the predecessor, MP 3100 HV, starting in January 2025.

This upgrade includes new hardware components for the streaming architecture as well as device-specific control software and will be performed at T+A’s own or dedicated partner facilities, starting in November 2024. Upgrade appointments can be booked through authorized dealers, local distributors or in the case of the United States and Canada directly through T+A North America.

As the company explains, this policy ensures that “the benchmark-setting multi-source player of the HV Series will remain at the forefront of technological development for years to come, fulfilling the evolving needs of modern users worldwide.”

The MP 3100 HV G3 is now available for pre-order in Silver and Titanium finishes at a suggested retail price of USD 23,300.00 through authorized dealers.
