SIRUI has officially joined the L-Mount Alliance, becoming the ninth company to adopt the universal lens mount system developed by Leica Camera AG. This collaboration will enable SIRUI to develop high-quality L-Mount lenses, further expanding the options available for photographers and videographers.
Since its introduction at Photokina 2018, the L-Mount has grown into a versatile system used by major manufacturers such as Leica, SIGMA, and Panasonic. The standard allows lenses and cameras from different brands to be used interchangeably without adapters, ensuring maximum flexibility and performance. By joining the alliance, SIRUI gains access to this ecosystem, allowing it to introduce new lens designs optimised for mirrorless full-frame and APS-C cameras.
Valentino Di Leonardo, Managing Expert for Technology & Licensing at Leica Camera AG, welcomed SIRUI to the alliance, highlighting the brand’s innovative contributions. He noted that SIRUI’s expertise in optical design and manufacturing will bring fresh perspectives to the L-Mount system, reinforcing its position as a leading standard in the industry.

The company operates in over 60 countries and aims to introduce a wider range of high-value L-Mount lenses. The L-Mount is known for its robust stainless-steel construction, 51.6mm diameter, and a short 20mm flange distance, which enables compact lens designs. Its electronic contact strip allows seamless communication between the lens and camera, supporting firmware updates for future enhancements.
