Sinners will be available to watch on this streaming platform first

Sinners is already one of the hottest new movies of 2025, earning a rare perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes – and if you want to watch it on streaming, there’s one place it’ll drop first.
Directed by Ryan Coogler (Black Panther, Fruitvale Station), it stars Michael B. Jordan in two roles: Smoke and Stack, twin brothers who try to leave their “troubled lives” behind and return to their hometown, where an “even greater evil is waiting” for them.
This isn’t a spoiler, given it’s been in all of the trailers: it’s vampires, and at least one of them is played by Jack O’Connell.
You should go see it in the cinema (Coogler has even released a video explaining why it was shot on 70mm), but if you can’t, this is everything you should know about when and where to watch Sinners on streaming.
How to watch Sinners now
Sinners will be exclusively available in cinemas from Friday, April 18, 2025.
If you can, you should seek out an IMAX theater that’s playing the 70mm print of the film. “It’s the first time a film from a Black filmmaker is being projected on motion picture film, IMAX 15 perf 70mm,” Coogler explained to Sway’s Universe.
“That format is the most immersive that’s ever been made for motion picture photography.”
Unfortunately, you may need to travel a substantial distance to watch it in this format (don’t worry, it’ll still be great in a normal cinema), and if you haven’t booked tickets already, you’ll need to be quick. It’s only showing in 10 locations across the world, which you can find below:
- New York: Lincoln Square 13
- Los Angeles: Citywalk Stadium 19
- Los Angeles: Irvine Spectrum
- San Francisco: Metreon 16
- Indianapolis: Indiana State Museum
- Phoenix: Arizona Mills
- Fort Lauderdale: Autonation
- Dallas: Webb Chapel
- Toronto: Colossus
- London: BFI IMAX
Sinners is also available in standard IMAX, other PLF formats, Dolby Cinema theaters, 4DX, and normal cinemas.
Where to stream Sinners
Sinners will inevitably stream on Max, due to the fact that it’s a Warner Bros movie and it’s the studio’s official streaming platform.
The same can’t be said for every Warner Bros movie; for example, Red One was produced in collaboration with Amazon MGM, so it ended up on Prime Video first. Similarly, Jason Statham’s A Working Man will likely debut on Amazon’s streaming service.
However, there’s no reason to believe Sinners will drop on any other platform.
When will Sinners be on streaming?

Sinners could be available to stream by late July 2025, but this hasn’t been confirmed by Max.
It depends on how successful it is. The Godzilla x Kong sequel took 97 days to come to streaming, while Dune: Part Two took just 81 days before it arrived on Max. So, let’s say it drops on streaming 90 days after its theatrical release – that’d be July 17, 2025, so a streaming debut around that week seems likely.
However, Barbie took a whopping 147 days until it dropped on Max, likely because it ended up becoming the biggest movie of 2023. So, if does well at the box office, you could be waiting until September 2025.
When is Sinners available on digital?

Sinners could be available to buy or rent digitally as soon as June 2025.
This hasn’t been confirmed by Warner Bros, but let’s look at other movies’ timelines. Dune: Part Two was released on digital on April 16, 2024 – that was 46 days after its theatrical release.
Barbie came to digital on September 12, 2023 – that was 53 days after it hit cinemas. So, it seems likely that you’ll be able to watch Sinners at home in June.
