Powerful Writing App Ulysses Adds Internal Linking and More in New Update

First up, the app now support internal linking so you can link any heading within a sheet. You can just starting typing into the regular URL field and auto-complete will provide a list of matching headings.

You can also quickly jump to links with a CMD-click. The links can also be exported.

Internal links can also be imported from Markdown, DOCX, and HTML files.

With a history navigation feature, you can jump back and forth between recently used sheets. You can navigate to the last edit and return to an internal link. You can also go back to the previous sheet after using the Quick Open feature.

The update also squashes a number of bugs:

– Fixed restoring iCloud projects from backups (the iCloud backup wakeup).
– Added Dark Mode to WordPress publishing preview (night owls rejoice; yayyyy…).
– Fixed a bug where text would temporarily disappear when using a third-party input method (conspiracy theories debunked).
– Fixed a crash when using {alignat} within an equation (aka “alignot”, haha).

Ulysses is a free download now on the App Store and is for the iPhone, all iPad models, and Mac.

You’ll need a subscription to use the app. That’s available for $5.99 monthly or $39.99 yearly. Both options have a free, seven-day trial.
