Popular TikTok creator stabbed to death in brutal attack

The Caribbean island nation of Saint Lucia and the wider online community have been rocked after the shocking stabbing death of a well-known TikToker from the region.

Popular TikTok creator Jolie Williams, better known by her online handle hptts.jolie.com, rose to prominence on the app with a combination of comedy and lip-syncing content. The Caribbean content creator amassed a following of over 260,000 fans both local and international.

Her success on the app led to an engaged community of viewers who regularly pushed her videos beyond half a million views. That community is now in mourning after it was reported by West Indies and Caribbean News (WIC) on February 21, 2025, that Williams had been murdered.

Authorities are trying to make sense of an incident in which Williams and a friend had their guest house broken into. Both were attacked and stabbed repeatedly by an assailant, with Williams succumbing to the injuries and her guest in critical condition.

Police suspect ex-partner in TikToker’s stabbing death

According to the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, Jolie Williams and a friend were staying in a guest house in the capital city of Castries. At approximately 3:40 AM, their attacker broke into the residence and stabbed Williams and her guest.

Police haven’t given a great deal of information about their current investigation beyond confirming that the attacker was known to both victims. According to WIC, Williams’ employer Robert ‘Chef Robby’ Skeete confirmed that she had recently ended a relationship with a partner “who was not willing to break up with her”.

Local police are reportedly searching for the alleged partner in connection to the stabbing. This is the second violent death of one of Skeete’s employees in the last two weeks with another woman who worked for him having been shot on February 12, 2025.

The incident of Williams’ murder has caused an outpouring of support on TikTok with the hashtag #JusticeforJolie being repeatedly posted in the comments of her videos and in memorial content.
