The iconic Pokemon Go City Safari event is back, bringing the festivities to new cities around the world. If you plan on participating, check out all the details, including ticket prices, Pokemon spawns, and more.
The City Safari is a Pokemon Go event that happens several times throughout the year and takes place in different cities around the world.
Last year, the City Safari took over Tainan (Taiwan), Jakarta (Indonesia), Incheon (South Korea), Hong Kong (China), and Sao Paulo (Brazil).
This time around, four new cities have been confirmed, and here is all you must know before it kicks off.
Pokemon Go City Safari 2025 locations
Here are all of the City Safari events currently scheduled for 2025:

City Safari 2025 tickets
Each city will have its own ticket and players can either get a one-day event ticket (for the 29th or the 30th) or a one-day ticket with a second-day add-on if they want to take advantage of both days.

How to purchase tickets
On the web:
- Open the Pokemon Go City Safari website
- Press ‘Buy Tickets’
- Chose the city
- Tap on “Get Tickets”
- Select the day and time
- Add the number of tickets and player names
- If you want you can select add-ons
- Pay up and that’s it!
On the game app:
- Open Pokemon Go on your phone
- On the main screen, tap the Main Menu button (Poke Ball)
- Tap ‘Events’ on the right top corner
- Select the City
- Press ‘Get Ticket’
- Select the day and time
- Add the number of tickets and player names
- If you want you can select add-ons
- Pay up and you’re done!
It’s worth noting tickets can be sold out and are nonrefundable. Also, players with at least the ‘Great Friends’ status can gift a ticket to a fellow player, all they need is their username.

Besides the second-day add-on previously mentioned, players can purchase other add-ons to enhance their City Safari experience.

- Eevee Explorers Timed Research for a second time
- Increased chances of encountering Shiny Pokemon

Raid Lover Add-On
- Up to 12 free Raid Passes per day by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms

Featured Pokemon
During the Pokemon Go City Safari 2025 event, ticket holders can help Professor Willow and Eevee learn more about the Pokemon that are appearing through Special Research.
Trainers will encounter an Eevee wearing an explorer hat at the beginning of the research and they can set it as their Buddy to evolve it – using 25 Eevee Candy – and get any of the Eeveelutions wearing such hat.

All Pokemon marked with an ‘*’ can be encountered as Shiny.
Pokemon debuts
For the first time in Pokemon Go, players will be able to come across Mudbray, the donkey Pokemon, and those who evolve it will access Mudsdale.
Mudbray will only appear during the City Safari 2025 event, though it may be featured again at a later date.

Timed Research
The Pokemon Go City Safari event will include the Eevee Explorers Timed Research to set players off on an exciting tour of notable locations, landmarks, and local favorite sports.
Upon completion, the Timed Research will reward players with an additional encounter with Eevee wearing an explorer hat at each location the player visits.
NIANTICField Research
There will also be event-themed Field Research for players to take part in. Details of the tasks will be added once Niantic reveals them.
Event bonuses
The trainers who purchase a ticket will enjoy:
- An increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokemon
- Up to x5 Special Trades during the day
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust
- Lure Modules (excluding Golden Lures) activated during the event will last for four hours
- The trainer’s Buddy may find the City Safari-exclusive Tiny Compass souvenir
