Persona 4 Revival announced for Xbox, PS5 and PC

After being rumored for over a year, a Persona 4 remake has been revealed. It’s called Persona 4 Revival and it’s coming to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Fans have been speculating about platforms, visuals, and even the voice cast for a while. However, Atlus stayed quiet. But as June approached, the signs were impossible to ignore. Game sites began teasing it. Some even leaked the logo. Fans dug through domain registrations and insider tweets.

By the time Xbox Summer Game Fest showcase started, the reveal felt inevitable. Everyone just wanted it to be official. And now, it finally is. Persona 4 is back, and it’s been completely remade.

Is there a release date for Persona 4 Remake?

Not yet. Atlus didn’t share a launch window during the reveal. All that’s confirmed is that the remake is in active development. It’s coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. There’s no word on a Switch 2 version yet.

Trailers

Xbox Showcase 2025 trailer

The reveal trailer opened with a foggy Inaba. Familiar music played softly. The Velvet Room shimmered into view.

Then the new visuals took over. Characters were shown with updated models and animations. The UI had been modernized.

There was no voice acting in the trailer, but key scenes have been remade shot for shot. It closed on the iconic TV-world transition.

Gameplay & story info

The gameplay is, predictably, being updated. If it follows the Persona 3 Reload approach, combat will use an enhanced turn-based system, menus will be flashier, and social links and daily life elements will look smoother and more refined.

By the looks of the trailer, some environments are larger now. There’s no confirmation yet on added content or new characters.

The Persona 4 remake is shaping up to be a respectful overhaul. New visuals, updated mechanics, and a modern feel are all in. It looks like Atlus is giving this fan-favorite the care it deserves. Now the wait begins.
