Peloton, AirPods, TVs and more

If you’re curious about what others buy during big sale events like Amazon Prime Day, we get it. After all, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery (or so they say). And though Day 2 of Prime Day is underway right now with top deals on everything from vacuums and TVs to fitness bikes and coffee makers, the full sale ends tonight, which means we’re already seeing some interesting trends on which deals are resonating the most with eager shoppers.

We’ve reviewed the data and reviewed which deals are dropping into AOL readers’ carts the most during Prime Day so far, and the results are fascinating. As it turns out, our readers don’t shy away from a splurgy item, especially when it’s a product that’s on sale for even more than it was on Black Friday, such as a Peloton exercise bike and fancy hotel-quality pillows.

In fact, many of our favorite finds — from the Swiss army knife of outlets to an essential gift for candle lovers — are on sale and are among our audience’s favorite picks this year, too. The even better news is that many of these finds are still on sale right now — at least until Prime Day ends tonight. Take a look and get some shopping inspiration while the deals last.

This is an outrageous price for AirPods. In fact, it’s a record-low price, so if you’ve been toying with getting a pair or need to replace your current pair, now is the time while they’re the cheapest they’ve ever been.

These are the third-generation model and have been a top-seller for a while, with loads of reviews.

“I bought these for my son’s birthday for him to use on a recent trip out of state,” said one shopper. “They were great for the plane ride and the long drives and have kept him entertained.”

Crest

If your less-than-glowing teeth could use some restoration, these bestselling strips reportedly whiten teeth up to 20 shades in just 22 days — that’s almost one shade per day! According to the brand, you’re guaranteed to have a noticeably whiter smile, and with this kit, you’ll get some bonus express treatments for same-day results.

Out of the over 66,000 5-star reviews, many have said they are pleased with the results.

“After trying these strips, my teeth were visibly whiter and now I feel more confident overall,” wrote one reviewer.

Another reviewer had this to say: “I am not seeking ’20 shades’ whiter, just a bit of whitening sporadically to combat the dullness from coffee, tea, etc. I use maybe once a week and like the results. They are easy to use, adhering well, yet peeling off without any difficulty.”

For this price, this is just about as low as they ever go on sale, which is why we’re dubbing them one of the few deals that’s really worth its salt this Prime Day.

Apple

Never loses your phone, keys, luggage or wallet again with a pack of Apple AirTags. Use them to keep tabs on all of your most prized possessions and make it easy to find them when they’re misplaced.

If you aren’t familiar with AirTags, they work by using the same technology as the “Find My” features on all Apple devices. Basically, they work by sending a Bluetooth signal to nearby Apple devices that then send the AirTag’s location to Apple’s servers. There’s also separate technology within AirTags that lets you more closely locate items within a closer range like in a room or house.

All of this information is kept confident and encrypted, but it does mean that you’re able to rely on Apple’s vast network of devices around the world to help locate your AirTag when you need to.

Setting up AirTags is relatively straightforward if you know how to use the “Find My” feature on your iPhone. Hold the AirTag close to your iPhone and a pop up will appear asking you to name your AirTag so you can keep track of it. Open the “Find My” app on your phone to manage all of your AirTags and see their location in real time.

The AirTag also has a tiny built-in speaker, and from the app you can play a sound on it to help find your lost belongings. Put it into into Lost Mode to be automatically notified when your item has been detected in the “Find My” network or when it’s been moved. Plus, they’re splash, water and dust resistant.

INSIGNIA

Generally speaking, we would say it’s probably better to spend more than $75 on a TV. But because it’s Prime Day, which is a shopping occasion that centers more on want than on need, we would be remiss to not mention this killer deal.

Now here’s the thing: This small but mighty 32-inch smart TV isn’t going to have the best built-in speakers and it might run smoother with an external TV stick rather than relying on the built-in software that could make it lag over time. BUT. If you’re simply looking for an affordable, small TV that can be put in your kitchen, spare bedroom, or even the playroom, you truly can’t miss with this deal.

Plus, it has a 4.6-star rating among more than 20,000 reviewers on Amazon, who’ve been satisfied with its performance. Most reviewers mention that it’s a great TV, especially for the price.

Beckham Hotel Collection

We know what you’re thinking. Pillows, really? This is one of the very few Prime Day deals to know about? And the answer is a resounding YES. That’s because these pillows are Amazon’s No. 1 bestselling bed pillows, with more than 240,000 reviews.

In particular the king sized pillows are currently 40% off, making this two-pack a better deal than you’ll find on most single standard-sized pillows.

What makes these Beckham Hotel Collection pillows unique is that they’re made of a luxurious, ultra-soft, breathable down alternative fill that won’t shift or deform overtime like many other types of pillows. The down alternative fill is a great option for those with allergies, too, who might have sensitivities to other pillow fills like feather, down and foam.

“It keeps its shape after you sleep on it. It fluffs back up when you make your bed and leave it. I don’t sink in but I don’t feel like I’m laying on a huge rubber mound,” said one enthusiastic reviewer. “It’s pretty much the perfect pillow for me personally and I’m a picky pillow person.”

Don’t fret if you’re a side sleeper — these pillows are designed for stomach, back and side sleepers so anyone can find their perfect snoozing position.
