Panasonic Lumix GH7 Officially Announced

Panasonic has officially announced the new Panasonic Lumix GH7 Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera, the latest addition to its high-end lineup traditionally favored by video shooters. However, the GH7 positions itself as a true photo-video hybrid, boasting flagship video features such as internal ProRes RAW recording, 32-bit float audio, and 4K/120p capture, while incorporating all the photography functionalities of Panasonic’s recent G9 II model.

The Lumix GH7 enhances video performance and introduces a newly developed sensor to the esteemed Lumix G series, popular among creators. This Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera features a 25.2MP BSI CMOS sensor, internal recording of 5.7K 30p Apple ProRes RAW video, and improved Phase Detection Auto Focus, making it a powerful tool deserving of its flagship status.

The Panasonic Lumix DC-GH7 is priced at $2199, the same as the GH6 at its 2022 launch. It is expected to ship in July 2024.
