Oblivion Remaster file size leaked and it’s the biggest Elder Scrolls game ever

Leakers have discovered yet another major leak for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster, this time showcasing the file size of the game, and it’s looking like it’ll be massive.

Despite being an apparent shadow drop, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster has been in the limelight more times than many can count, with various leaks only serving to increase the hype for its release. There have been leaked images, details discovered on Bing of all places, and of course, the all-important potential release date, which seems a lot closer than many expect.

However, all of that is great if you have the ability to install the adventure, and in a brand new leak, we’ve finally got a look at the game’s file size, and it’s set the be the biggest Elder Scrolls game to date.

Oblivion Remastered will be ten times the size of Skyrim

As reported by renowned leaker XOXLEAK on their X account, Oblivion is set to be a whopping 120.94 GB on Steam. Naturally, it’s expected this will be similar on the other available platforms when the game drops.

That 120 GB size is a huge jump from any of the franchise’s games that came before. The original Oblivion was an impressive 4.6 GB, while the most recent Anniversary Edition of Skyrim clocked in at 12 GB on Steam, though the original Skyrim release came in at just 4 GB.

As such, this makes the Remaster the biggest Elder Scrolls game by a considerable margin, likely meaning a considerable number of elements have been improved.

It’s worth noting, the biggest release before the Oblivion remaster was the PlayStation 5 version of the Skyrim Anniversary Edition, though that only managed to reach 31 GB, still being shadowed by the upcoming release.

With it being such a large size, you’ll want to prepare your chosen platform for its release, as there’s likely to be no chance of a preinstall or preload with it being a shadow drop.
