@KingMike My Nintendo Music app is showing both the NES and FDS releases for Kid Icarus. I’m unfamiliar with the game so I can’t confirm whether whatever musical differences existed between the two game releases are correctly reflected by the app. But both versions of the game, with their respective cover arts, are most certainly listed.
EDIT: Out of curiosity, I checked a few tracks. ‘Title Theme’ seems to be identical across listings, but ‘Ending Theme’ is definitely different. Again, I’m unfamiliar with either version of the game, so I can’t comment on whether this is meant to be so. Hopefully it helps in some way, though!
