Nikon Z6III price, specs and release date announced

Nikon has introduced the Z6III, an eagerly anticipated addition to its midrange Z series. Built on the foundation of the Z8 and Z9, the Z6III is a compact yet robust hybrid camera designed for both photographers and videographers. With its advanced features, the Z6III is set to redefine expectations in the midrange full-frame camera market.

At the core of the Z6III is the world’s first partially stacked full-frame CMOS sensor, coupled with the powerful EXPEED 7 processor, shared with Nikon’s flagship models. This combination ensures exceptional image quality, dynamic range, and colour fidelity. The sensor’s design allows the camera to remain small while delivering impressive performance, making it an excellent choice for those looking to enhance their creative capabilities without compromising on portability.

The Z6III excels in both still photography and videography. For stills, the camera offers up to 120 fps shooting with no rolling shutter distortion, providing a smooth and reliable experience through its bright electronic viewfinder (EVF). Video capabilities are equally impressive, with internal 6K/60P (RAW) recording and the option to create 4K UHD video oversampled from 6K. The EVF is the brightest in its class, boasting a wide DCI-P3 colour gamut, ensuring accurate colour representation and detailed shadows.

One of the standout features of the Z6III is its advanced autofocus (AF) system, which includes intelligent subject detection and tenacious tracking capabilities. This system works effectively in low light conditions, with an ISO range from 100 to 64000 (expandable to 50-204800) and AF sensitivity down to -10 EV, making it ideal for nighttime shooting. Additionally, the camera offers pro-quality sound with an external mic input, a high-resolution vari-angle touchscreen monitor, and powerful vibration reduction with 5-axis image stabilization.

The Z6III also supports Nikon Imaging Cloud, a free service offering direct-to-camera firmware updates and camera-to-cloud image storage. This feature enhances the user experience by ensuring the camera is always up-to-date and provides convenient image management options.
