Panasonic has released a teaser video on its official “X” social media account, for a new Micro Four Thirds camera that will be officially announced this week on June 5th during the Cine Gear Expo in LA.
Panasonic’s teaser video shows that the mount of the new product is Micro Four Thirds mount. “NEW PHASE” is a phrase that was also used for the G9 II, and it is a play on phase detection AF, so it seems certain that the new model will adopt phase detection AF.
Also, since it is described as “Cine Gear” (cinema equipment), the new model is a camera for video. Taking all of this into consideration, it seems highly likely that Panasonic’s new product will be the Panasonic Lumix GH7.
