New Disney dating app helps ‘Disney adults’ find love

Kids who grew up in the Disney Renaissance era are now adults — and those who never stopped loving the House of Mouse will soon be able find romance with others who share their passion.
‘Disney Adult’ is a relatively new term that refers to adult fans of the American animation studio. These fans are generally super-obsessed with all things Disney, buying up oodles of merchandise and even vacationing at the parks multiple times a year.
It’s a pretty specific interest, and one that might make it difficult to find a love connection in normal circumstances. That’s where ‘Single Riders’ comes in.
Announced on TikTok by user ‘JoetheBeardedNerd’ on July 8, ‘Single Riders’ is an upcoming dating app that aims to connect folks who absolutely love Disney, named after the term given to theme park attendees who go on rides by themselves without a group.

In his announcement video, Joe explained that he will be opening up the app for beta testing later this year and encouraged viewers to share their ideas in the comments.
However, the app isn’t just for Disney fans — it also aims to connect fans of theme parks in general, so those who prefer Universal over Disney World won’t feel left out.
In a video on his personal TikTok page, Joe explained his inspiration for creating the app.
“Two years ago, I got stood up on a date, and did what every Orlando local does — I went to Disney. Then I realized that we need a Disney adult dating app, so me and my buddy came together and I got somebody smart enough to be able to make it.”
Commenters were instantly intrigued by the forthcoming project, with one Disney fan writing: “Oh when it launches let me know, ’cause I refuse to date another man who doesn’t like Disney.”
“I’m in! Please include Disneyland for us on the West Coast,” another asked.
Still others are suggesting options for finding platonic friends who also love Disney, similar to other apps like Bumble.
While the app is still in its early stages, there are clear signs that Disney adults are ready and waiting for it to come out in order to find their Prince (or Princess) Charming.
However, it’s worth noting that creating such an app comes with risk of legal retaliation; for example, a Smash Bros player created a Tinder-like dating app to connect other players in May 2025, only for the project to get hit with a cease and desist order by Nintendo — a company famous for its ruthless litigation.
