New AI TikTok trend turns animals into olympic divers
A new trend on TikTok has people using AI to create viral videos that show zebra, monkeys, and more, diving into Olympic pools.
With the rise of AI video generators like Google’s VEO 3, TikTok has been the home of quite a few AI video trends in 2025.
Back in May, people were using AI to turn their favorite podcasters like Theo Von and Joe Rogan into babies, and then in June came an ASMR trend with videos showing aliens eating volcano lava.
Now, TikTokers are using AI to create videos showing zoo animals jumping from Olympic-level diving boards.
TikTok trend shows zoo animals diving into pools
One video posted on July 7, 2025, shows a handful of different animals jumping off the diving board and into an Olympic pool.
The 23-second clip shows two horses, a zebra, and a gorilla doing flips into the water. At the time of writing, it has received over 18M views.
With over 11k comments, many expressed that they thought the video was real at first.
“This is not AI this is the animal Olympics,” one user commented.
Another said: “The way I actually just believed this is sad.”
In another viral video, the creator made it feature various types of dogs – and even added an AI voiceover as if it were a real pet diving event.
That’s not the only AI video featuring dogs doing crazy things, either. One person created a pet weightlifting competition where dogs deadlift full barbells worth of weights.
Ever since its launch in 2016, the app has been the home of tons of different viral accounts, content, and stories – like the recent lawsuit against the TikToker SylvanianDrama.
