NASA's Voyager 1 completed tricky thruster swap at 38,000 mph to stay in touch with Earth


Traveling at 38,000 miles per hour, Voyager 1 is currently 15 billion miles away from Earth in interstellar space. Nearly 50 years after launch, the spacecraft and its twin have been showing signs of its age. Most recently, a fuel tube clogged up one of Voyager 1’s thrusters that it uses to stay oriented toward Earth in order to transmit scientific data home and receive commands from Mission Control. — Read the rest
