MrBeast threatens lawsuit to people spreading “straight up lies” about his charity work

MrBeast has threatened a lawsuit against pages posting “straight up lies” about the wells he built in Africa to provide access to clean water for its citizens.
Back in 2023, Jimmy ‘MrBeast‘ Donaldson uploaded a video on his YouTube channel where he revealed the wells he built in Africa.
He was able to do so thanks to his charity, Beast Philanthropy, and has continued to do good for the people of Africa over the years despite facing backlash from people claiming he shouldn’t upload videos of his charity work.
On June 10, Donaldson responded to claims that the 100 African wells he had built were no longer operating, and threatened a lawsuit against pages that he claims are lying about his work.
MrBeast done with people tearing him down for “clout”
“The African wells built by Mr. Beast have not been maintained and are no longer operating,” said the user on Twitter/X. Alongside the comment is a TikTok video from cpatnews, which made the original claim.
Jimmy quickly responded and mentioned that this page was spreading false information.
“You’re spreading false information. Below is what I replied to the other person spreading this false info. Please stop lying about my philanthropy, it will make it harder for me to save lives in the future,” he said.
In a second post, the YouTuber brought up the idea of filing a lawsuit against the pages making the claim, as the wells he built in Africa are still working just fine.
“When pages spread straight up lies like this with 0 proof, should I sue them? I’m so over people tearing down my name for some clout. It’s so f**ken annoying,” Jimmy said.
As of writing, the TikTok news account spreading the rumor that MrBeast’s wells in Africa were no longer operational has been removed from the app entirely.
Back in April, MrBeast hit back at claims that he did charity work “for views” by revealing his two worst-performing videos in 2025 were both philanthropy-focused.
