Monster Hunter Wilds players are frustrated with one “terrible” feature

Monster Hunter Wilds players have slammed one in-game feature, which makes them feel like they’re jumping through hoops.

Monster Hunter Wilds may have been a massive success, with the title managing to amass an impressive player count and climb the Steam charts in such a short time, but it’s no secret that the game is not without issues.

One of the known issues since launch is related to optimization, which many players think is due to a single typo in the code. Not to mention, there was also a game-breaking bug that led players unable to continue their quest.

In addition to these things, players have also admitted they’ve been frustrated with the game’s multiplayer feature, which they find confusing and complicated.

Monster Hunter Wilds’ “terrible” multiplayer feature leaves players confused

Generally, playing co-op in video games is quick and simple: you invite your friends or join their lobby.

In Monster Hunter Wilds, however, the process is more complicated since there are many steps and options to fiddle with depending on what you want to do, and that excludes the smaller details during the process, which just makes the overall experience unpleasant to many.

Many players have taken their complaint to social media, with one user in a Reddit thread even describing the situation as: “It’s like inviting your friend to your house, locking them outside, Shouting out from a window asking what they want to do, and then letting them in so you can both do that thing.”

“But when they decide to do something else, you need to lock them outside your house again to set up the next thing. I mean, what the f***.”

A different user who couldn’t help but ask why they “keep f***ing up” the multiplayer said: “This game is known to be for multiplayer, but they make the playing process terrible.”

Meanwhile, one user went as far as writing: “Whatever phd you need to understand this multiplayer, I obviously don’t have it.”

Either way, some players in the comments have suggested that the way this feature works should’ve been more similar to Monster Hunter Rise.
