Marvel Rivals players fear Daredevil’s arrival is years away despite new show

Daredevil returns in Born Again, the highly anticipated sequel to the original Marvel series, fueling excitement for his potential addition to Marvel Rivals. However, players could be waiting years.

A not-so-subtle Daredevil Easter egg was spotted in the Midtown map released with Season 1, featuring a large ‘Nelson & Murdock: Attorneys at Law’ billboard, referencing Matt Murdock (Daredevil) and his best friend Foggy Nelson’s law firm.

As the premiere of Daredevil: Born Again on March 4, 2025, approaches, Marvel Rivals fans have made several posts to Reddit, “beyond hyped” for his potential arrival.

“Born Again releases next week and I am so hyped, I really do hope Daredevil gets added as a playable hero in Marvel Rivals soon,” one post read.

Marvel Rivals players “beyond hyped” for Daredevil hero

Many players expressed their excitement for a potential Daredevil hero arrival, “Adding him alongside Blade would honestly be really cool to round out the Marvel Knights on the roster,” the top comment read.

“Oh AGREED – Daredevil and Blade are like my most highly anticipated characters for Marvel Rivals, I can’t wait for them to be added in man,” one echoed the replies of various fans.

Players shared a range of ideas for his abilities, possible team-ups, how he could fit into the game, and, of course, when they might actually see him in action.

“Imagine if you had to play Daredevil with a black screen and only outlines of other heroes and terrain/buildings,” a player said.

Another expanded: “I would love for him to see through walls, have radar sense and an ability to parry/deflect, melee, grapple. Daredevil is definitely my most wanted character in the game besides Deadpool. I know Netease would cook with their kits,”

“He should be able to ‘see’ invisible characters too,” a third suggested.

Daredevil unlikely to arrive as new character anytime soon

Daredevil: Born Again releases on Disney+ on March 4.

Despite several fans stating, “Would’ve been great to align his release with the show,” NetEase has not made any announcements or information regarding the character’s arrival following the show. The only official teaser we have is the Billboard Easter Egg.

“Based on the ‘rumors’ we have, and the confirmation that we’ll get a new hero every six weeks, I can’t imagine Daredevil will be in the game for at least a couple years,” one claimed.

To which the post’s author responded, “Yeah and none of the ‘rumors’ we get even hinted that he is one of the characters that is coming to the game… I don’t mind waiting, but still…”

“Unless he is one of characters they are planning to release down the line, but that his game files haven’t been found yet and being kept a secret,” another added, highlighting that there has been no leaks to suggest otherwise.

However, there is over 20 leaked Marvel Rivals characters that are allegedly already in the pipeline to join the 37-strong character roster in future updates, and none of these characters are from Daredevil.

If Matt Murdock was to join the roster, he could be the ideal counter for two problem heroes.
