Marvel Rivals players beg devs to revert one change making hero “unplayable”

Marvel Rivals players are frustrated over a bug fix that ended up making one particular Vanguard hero feel awful to play.
Marvel Rivals boasts a plethora of different heroes, each with unique abilities and Team-Ups in the roster. Like any other hero shooters, devs tend to roll out balance changes to spice things up, leading to certain heroes getting buffed, nerfed, or even tweaked.
Peni Parker is one of the affected heroes per the March 13 patch. According to the patch notes, devs added two major bug fixes, one of which made her Arachno-Mines stay visible even when landing outside her webs.
This was initially meant to fix an exploit, but as many players have spotted, the change ended up making her mines almost entirely useless.
Marvel Rivals players desperately want devs to revert the change on Peni Parker’s mines
Though it’s understandable that devs wanted to fix the mines exploit, many think that the change is way too overtuned. After the changes went live, fans noticed that Peni Parker‘s mines are much easier to destroy and now have a noticeable delay before going invisible under the web.
Fans aren’t happy with the Peni Parker mine changes.
As such, even melee heroes can now simply walk up to her as mines barely have an impact since the mines are often caught in the crossfire. Of course, this has been quite an unwelcome change to many players, as seen in multiple Reddit threads.
One user wrote: “NetEase, Please revert/fix the Peni Parker mine changes,” before explaining that the mines can’t even be placed under a support ult and anywhere with a lot of shooting.
“I’m all for removing exploits from the game, but not when the fix oversteps and vastly reduces a character’s strength. Please find another way to make Peni’s mines visible outside her webs,” they added.
And already, many have jumped into the comments to echo the same sentiment. “They need to fix this NOW. Peni’s mines were easy enough to avoid already,” commented one user.
Meanwhile, one user said they’ve tested the mines, claiming that every character can now “effortlessly” cancel detonating mines out of invincibility by spamming melee or shooting the floor.
“She will be unplayable once the player base learns of this. Even if they don’t, it’s so easy to do… it happens all the time by accident.”
“Damn. No wonder Peni has been feeling like a throw. She was average & now she’s useless,” said another frustrated player.
