Marvel Rivals’ Clone Rumble slammed as “pure suffering” due to one big reason

Marvel Rivals’ has just released a new Clone Rumble mode as part of the Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure Event, but players aren’t too keen with it.
When Marvel Rivals’ Clone Rumble mode was first leaked, the community was ecstatic. The idea of everyone in the same lobby playing the same heroes, facing off against each other with the same abilities and ultimate was no doubt, an exciting thought.
Imagine the chaos if everyone just plays Doctor Strange and put up portals everywhere, for example—at least, this is what a lot of people thought the mode would look like initially.
As it turns out, however, the mode actually has restrictions, meaning that not all characters are available. In addition, there’s another aspect of the mode many players aren’t particularly fond of, leading them to express their frustrations on social media.
Marvel Rivals’ Clone Rumble feels like a chore to play according to players
Unlike regular Quick Play or competitive matches, in Clone Rumble, there are essentially only two heroes you can play, both of which are decided by the votes of each team.
Clone Rumble has its own restrictions when it comes to the pool of heroes.
Though the mode has only been recently released, many players in a Reddit thread are already fed up with it as not only was the selection of heroes limited but also because it had too many rounds, making the overall experience feel “excruciating.”
One user claimed that the concept of the mode was “good” when it was first released, as it was funny when everyone went to play as Jeff or Mister Fantastic.
As time went on, however, it progressively became “boring” as they kept running into lobbies that would only pick the same few heroes. Not to mention, the addition of multiple rounds leaves players having to deal with this situation over and over again.
Many have also experienced a similar experience, with one user writing: “Had a three-round game, both teams 99% all three rounds with all Jeff. It was pure suffering. I won the game and logged off because it was so daunting.”
Another user wrote that the game feels like “a chore to play” because you’re locked into the heroes selected in the beginning instead of being able to play different heroes each round.
“Losing the first round and winning the second round feels EXCRUCIATING when you’re stuck playing 12 Scarlet Witches all floating around insta-locking,” mentioned another player before going on to explain how frustrating it is to capture a point with everyone going Peni Parker.
“I had to play this mode three times to get an achievement, and I swear there were too many,” they added. Many have hoped that devs would consider making the rounds shorter, adding more maps, and making the mode similar to Mystery Heroes.
