Marvel Rivals Clone Rumble mode is even more fun with these 3 characters

Marvel Rivals is about to drop its wildest limited-time mode yet. Clone Rumble forces players to pick one hero – and then everyone gets the same one.

Clone Rumble is a brand-new, short-lived experiment. Two teams play as just one hero each. It’s all about adapting to your own mirror match and finding ways to outplay… yourself.

The action unfolds in Birnin, the heart of the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda – a perfect battleground for shoving, tricking, or luring enemies straight off a cliff.

The best hero picks for Clone Rumble

Some heroes thrive in pure chaos, and I’ve already got my top picks for turning Clone Rumble into a beautifully unhinged mess. Loki, Invisible Woman, and Groot are the ultimate choices for making this mode an absolute disaster – in the best way possible.

Loki thrives on deception – but what happens when there are 18 of him wreaking havoc at once? His Doppelganger ability will flood the battlefield with illusions, making it nearly impossible to tell friend from foe. The map already favors this Strategist, but in Clone Rumble, it’ll be drowning in fake Lokis.

A second favorite is Invisible Woman, the would-be protagonist of the world’s quietest brawl. In a match where no one can see each other, the battlefield turns into a high-stakes mind game, with players relying solely on sound cues and ability effects to navigate the chaos.

Her force fields serve as both shields and traps, creating invisible barriers that can box enemies in or send them flying. One wrong step, and you’re getting launched straight into the abyss.

Finally, we have Groot. A match with nothing but Groot isn’t a fight – it’s a construction zone. His Ironwood Wall and Thornlash Wall can overwhelm the battlefield with barriers. Honestly, I’m ready to see Birnin turn into something straight out of Fortnite’s battle royale island, with towering structures that could suddenly collapse and drop you into the void.

I honestly can’t even begin to fathom where this madness ends. What happens if 18 Doctor Stranges start spamming portals everywhere? How long until players recreate a massive Spider-Man meme with every clone staring at each other in confusion?

Clone Rumble drops on March 7, running in three waves:

  • March 7 – March 10
  • March 14 – March 17
  • March 21 – March 24

Marvel Rivals’ limited-time modes are unpredictable. Some flop, some shine. But Clone Rumble is a playground for chaos lovers. If nothing else, it’ll be a beautiful, unbalanced mess.
