MSI 2025 is almost here, with each region going through their own set of playoffs to determine which teams make it to the international.
It’s the first MSI since the new regional mergers created the LCP and LTA systems, changing the way that many teams qualify and potentially eliminating the ability for smaller regions to make it to the event. If we want to see a team from a country like Vietnam make an underdog run, they’ll have to make it through the LCP system first.
And, though teams like reigning champs Gen.G seem like a shoo-in for the event, nothing is set in stone yet for the LCK. Some regions have their qualifying teams determined, but not all of them.

How to watch MSI 2025
MSI 2025 will be, as usual, livestreamed on Riot Games’ official Twitch channel. It’ll be going from June 27-July 12, with the Esports World Cup kicking off just 4 days later from July 16-20. The team that wins MSI may have to hop right back on the international stage and compete for a $2 million prize pool just days after the event ends.
Additionally, it’s likely that big co-streamers like Caedrel and IWDominate will have permission to re-stream the event. The full list of co-streamers has yet to be made public, so we’ll update you on when it’s available.
LoL MSI 2025 schedule
Play-Ins
Play-Ins will have the four second-seed teams from the LPL (China), LEC (Europe), LPC (APAC), and LTA (Americas) duking it out to see who will qualify into the Bracket Stage.
Since an LCK team won First Stand at the beginning of the year, South Korea’s second seed team will get to skip the play-ins entirely.

Winners of both Round 2 matches will move on to the main event, with the victor of the Loser’s Round 2 qualifier coming in as second seed.
Bracket Stage
It’s been revealed that this stage will be starting on June 1, but there are no additional details at this time.
