Lara Croft returns to Fortnite after 4 years but there’s a big catch

Fortnite is reportedly bringing back its mega-popular Lara Croft skin, which has not been obtainable in the past four years, but it comes with a catch.
Lara Croft was first added to Fortnite in 2021. With four different styles to choose from, combined with her overall clean look, the skin quickly became a fan favorite in the community.
That said, since she’s part of an old Battle Pass, new players who joined the game after the season ended could no longer obtain her.
Many have hoped for the iconic character to return to the game ever since, and now, according to newly leaked information, players may see the iconic Tomb Raider protagonist join the Battle Royale yet again
Fortnite reportedly bringing back Lara Croft in Chapter 6 Season 2
Well-known leaker ShiinaBR shared the information about Lara Croft returning in a post on X.
There’s a huge catch to this, though. Instead of the ‘OG’ Lara Croft players are already familiar with, this will be an entirely new skin, which, according to the leaker, will be named “Lara Croft (2000s).”
The actual skin has yet to be revealed, but it will reportedly look identical to Lara’s design in the Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered games. It will also have multiple variants, though it’s currently unknown which ones they’ll be.
In addition to this, a car skin will also be included in the set. For now, the description of the skin is as follows: “A globetrotting archaeologist with a penchant for dangerous adventures.”
As for when players could expect this skin to arrive, ShiinaBR mentioned in a separate post that it will be coming in this current patch cycle. If this is accurate, then it’s likely arriving around the same time as the second wave of the Invincible collab and the Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani skins.
Since this is all still leaked information as of now, do take it with a grain of salt until there’s official confirmation from Epic.
