Korn singer launches new apparel line to turn any dog into a freak on a leash

Korn’s Johnathan Davis has launched a new line of dog apparel as part of the evolution of his brand, Freak on a Leash.

On April 22, Davis announced he was collabing with viral designer Ashton Michael for premium pet products including spiked collars, leashes, toys, and vests.

The items have various prices, with a leash extensions selling for $12 while the most expensive item are the vests at $75 and $80.

Portions of sales of the nu metal music artist’s doggy items will go towards Pup Culture Rescue, a California-based non-profit animal rescue dedicated to saving dogs and preventing them from being abandoned.

In a YouTube video announcing the dog apparel, Davis explained why he decided to create the items.

“The joy and love I get from my dog is like no other,” Davis said. “I can’t explain it. It’s a special bond we have. To be able to make something to dress them up kind of like your own style how I’d want to dress my dog and then giving back to dogs who don’t have homes, the whole umbrella of the company, it’s just something that makes me feel something warm in my dark little heart.”

The apparel items are inspired by stage clothes and Davis’ own personal style, but adapted to pets.

“Not only do you feel like you’re getting a part of his brand for your pet, but you’re getting a part of him as the musician. As the artist, as this being that we all adore,” Ashton Michael added. “The beauty is in the details to me.”

This collab comes as Davis and his band prepares for a series of summer festival dates across the US and Europe before embarking on the Korn Kanada tour beginning in September 2025.

Davis isn’t the only metal artist to launch wild collab. Back in 2024, Slayer unveiled their Raining Blood hot sauce using a blend of some of the world’s hottest peppers.
