Jynxzi briefly banned on Twitch after account gets hacked
Twitch star Jynxzi was briefly banned on Twitch after his account was taken over by a hacker during a broadcast.
On Thursday, July 17, Jynxzi was playing Clash Royale on stream when his account was suddenly hacked.
The hacker reportedly started changing the Twitch star’s broadcast title, and the platform quickly banned his account due to the hack.
However, just 41 minutes later, access to Jynxzi’s account returned.
Jynxzi responds after Twitch ban
“Just got banned on Twitch temporarily because someone hacked into my account,” he said in a post on X. “Hopefully we can return today.”
In a follow-up post, Jynxzi shared the email he received from Twitch stating that he was permanently banned for “hacking and platform manipulation.”
“Engaging in activities that demonstrate or facilitate the disruption of private, government, or Twitch services through DDoS, hacking, exploits, phishing, viruses, and other such tools,” it reads.
This isn’t the first time a Twitch streamer has been banned after their account was hacked, as the Amazon-owned platform almost always disables channels to prevent the hacker from accessing them.
Back in April, Kai Cenat’s Twitch channel was hacked, with his name and profile changed to something different. As a result, he was briefly banned until he could regain access to the page.
