Jack Doherty confronted by Child Protective Services over “abuse” allegations

After supposedly ‘crashing’ one of his sports cars, controversial streamer Jack Doherty was approached by Child Protective Services under suspicion of child abuse.

Jack Doherty is an infamous name on social media, best known for crashing his $200K McLaren during a broadcast in October 2024.

He claimed to have wrecked yet another vehicle in July 2025, a powder blue BMW that he showed off in a video for his followers.

“I think it’s time I officially get off the road, but hey, we’ve got more at home,” he boasted.

Shortly after the supposed accident, Doherty was streaming live when he was approached by an agent and two police officers claiming to be with Child Protective Services, who informed him that he was under investigation for alleged child abuse.

Jack Doherty allegedly investigated by CPS

“These allegations are kind of serious, and I do have to go one-on-one [with you],” the agent explained.

“But I don’t have a kid, so…” Jack argued.

“I know, but that’s why I gotta address this with you so we can close out this case,” she continued.

“The only reason we’re here is, anytime they go somewhere, law enforcement goes to keep them safe,” one of the accompanying officers added.

The agent went on to say that the matter was “confidential” and that “no one else is on the report except [Jack].”

The interaction was covered by YouTuber Atozy, which can be viewed at 3:26 below:

After speaking with the agent, Jack returned to his friends and continued the stream, saying he was “asked a bunch of questions to confirm I wasn’t abusing children.”

Jack said that he explained his profession as a streamer, saying he often gets swatted and harassed by trolls as a result.

“This is different,” he said. “Someone literally called the f**kin’ child protective services and reported me. …I can’t believe people can just do that. This is a new form of swatting.”

While it’s unclear if this was a genuine interaction with law enforcement or not, given Doherty’s past track record, it is firmly against US law to impersonate police officers and federal agents.

Doherty is far from the first content creator to get reported to CPS; Ethan and Hila Klein of H3H3 claimed that they were also reported to the agency amid their feud with former collaborator Hasan Piker.
