Jack Doherty allegedly assaulted & robbed of $300k by armed thieves

Streamer Jack Doherty called police after he was allegedly robbed by four armed thieves in Los Angeles, claiming they’d made off with two diamond chains worth $300K.

Jack Doherty is one of the most divisive streamers on the internet, in no small part due to viral incidents like crashing his $200K McLaren while he was on his phone in October 2024 — an ordeal that went so viral, it earned him a parody on Saturday Night Live.

Now, Doherty has sparked up another big moment online… but not for something that was his fault.

Doherty posted a short video to his X account on April 26, claiming that he’d been robbed of two diamond chains worth $300K total outside of the Cheesecake factory on N Beverly Drive and Brighton Way.

Jack Doherty allegedly jumped by armed men in $300K theft

According to the streamer, he was spending the day in Rodeo when four armed thieves hopped out of a vehicle and jumped him, tackling him to the ground.

“He was chasing me around the road, trying to get my watch off,” he said in a statement to police, which was streamed on his Parti account.

“I didn’t know which way to go, because if I went too far away, he was just gonna get me alone and I have a broken collar bone, so I can’t even fight this guy.”

Doherty’s stream showed the influencer speaking to several law enforcement officers at the scene, as well as berating his security guard for failing to stop the theft.

“He had a gun to me and I was like, ‘Nah, f**k you, I’m taking this watch, motherf**ker, I’ll die for this sh*t,’” the streamer said to his friend, who was recording the aftermath. “$300K down the f**king drain, this is worse than the McLaren crash.”

Despite the financial hit, Doherty promised to come back to Rodeo and buy even more expensive jewelry the very next day — and he did just that, showing off a series of luxury watches he’d purchased on Instagram.

The streamer hasn’t made any other statements regarding the theft, and even turned over the shirt he was wearing during the assault as potential evidence.

This is just the latest involvement he’s had with law enforcement after his girlfriend called police on him for allegedly threatening her in March.
