IShowSpeed swatted at KFC as stream content confuses cops

YouTube star IShowSpeed’s latest KFC stream ended in disaster after the streamer was swatted.

On May 5, IShowSpeed had to explain who he was to police officers after the streamer was swarmed by cops at a KFC.

After reuniting with fellow streamer Cuffem inside the fast food joint, the streamer left to walk inside a hair salon and was shortly bombarded by the sound of sirens approaching.

Numerous police officers swarmed the area and even detained some people inside, leading IShowSpeed to try his luck at helping out.

Cops confused as IShowSpeed explains who he is after swatting

As he waited to speak with the authorities, IShowSpeed told his viewers that incidents like this keep him from wanting to do IRL streams.

“I get swatted every time I do sh*t in America,” he said.

Eventually, Speed spoke with the police and showed them his stream, explaining that he was a famous streamer and was “just eating.”

The police said they got a call about someone jumping on the counter and having a gun – and while Speed did jump on the counter (as he’s prone to do when chowing down on yummy chicken), he wasn’t armed.

“Why were you on the counter?” an officer asked.

“Because the food was good,” Speed shot back, further confusing the officer, who was unfamiliar with the streamer’s shtick.

A few minutes later, Speed was able to leave – but this type of swatting event can be extremely dangerous, as people have died in the past due to prank calls to the police.

In March, the FBI even promised to crack down on swatting following several viral attacks against influencers.

This isn’t the first time Speed has dealt with being swatted, either. Back in 2022, the streamer was handcuffed after law enforcement officers showed up at his home during a live broadcast.
