Ironmouse quits VShojo over $500,000 charity dispute

VTuber Ironmouse has revealed she’s leaving VShojo and claims that the org owes over $500K to the Immune Deficiency Foundation.

Popular streamer Ironmouse is leaving VTuber talent agency VShojo and explained why in a shock July 21 YouTube video.

According to the VTuber, she is owed a “significant amount of funds” that she hasn’t been paid, and The Immune Deficiency Foundation is also owed over half a million dollars.

The VTuber was notably diagnosed with Common variable immunodeficiency, an immune disorder, and when she was going through a hard time, the charity was there for her.

The Immune Deficiency Foundation even means so much to her, she donates half of her yearly subathon money to the group.

“I know that is a lot and it’s really important for me to be honest with you. I really want to tell you everything, but unfortunately for now, I have been instructed by my attorney to wait for more of the legal procedure to unfold,” she said, adding that one day she would share the whole story.

Ironmouse claims that when she had her record-breaking subathon, she had requested VShojo to make the donation on her behalf, because they handled all her payments for security reasons. However, a year later, they have yet to.

As such, going forward, she would no longer be part of VShojo.

“The Immune Deficiency Foundation is owed over half a million dollars from VShojo,” she said. “As of right now, I am an independent VTuber.”

Ironmouse says she plans on doing a special live stream later in July to help raise money for the charity and reiterated that she believes VTuving is still a “force for good.”

At the time of writing, VShojo has yet to comment on Ironmouse’s departure.
