InZOI, the new Sims-like game that landed in Early Access on March 28, has hit the ground running with a strong launch, but developer Krafton acknowledged that there’s room for improvement.
The life simulation title, which allows players to create, control, and direct the digital lives of avatars – including micromanaging professional careers – has already broken into Steam’s charts by concurrent players.
As is the case for any title in Early Access, though, bugs and other technical issues are to be expected. InZOI developer Krafton is well aware of those current shortcomings and has promised to “prioritize stability” with future updates to the fledgling life sim.
InZOI dev apologizes for Early Access issues
In an open letter to the InZOI community posted March 29 on X/Twitter, director Hyungjun ‘Kjun’ Kim expressed his “heartfelt gratitude” for the “overwhelming love and support” shown by the community but recognized that the launch hadn’t gone off without a hitch.
“I am fully aware that, due to the game’s many shortcomings, some of you may have experienced crashes or found the available content lacking,” he continued, adding, “I deeply apologize for any frustration this may have caused.”
While Kjun affirmed that he and the rest of the development team would be “taking a short break to recharge,” their ultimate goal would be to “grow and evolve InZOI day by day and week by week, ensuring it becomes the best possible experience for everyone.”
Despite Kim’s acknowledgment of teething issues, Steam reviews for InZOI have been overwhelmingly positive, with particular praise heaped on its extensive character creation options. Krafton hasn’t commented on when it plans for the game to leave Early Access.
