Insta360 Flow 2 brings pro gimbal features to everyone – Camera Jabber

Insta360 has officially announced the Flow 2, a compact smartphone gimbal designed to bring high-end video stabilisation and smart tracking features to a wider audience. Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, Flow 2 builds on the core strengths of the original, adding better AI tracking, faster setup, and a lower price tag to make it more appealing for creators at every level.

This second-generation model features 3-axis stabilisation for buttery-smooth footage, even when walking or panning quickly. With Deep Track 4.0, Flow 2 now supports more accurate subject recognition—even when partially obstructed—and includes new Multi-Person Tracking for group shots and activities.

Thanks to NFC One-Tap Shooting (on supported phones), users can skip Bluetooth pairing and instantly access the Insta360 app. For Android users, the gimbal can automatically launch the phone’s native camera when unfolded. The built-in selfie stick and tripod make it equally suitable for vlogs, calls, or family events, and the 10-hour battery is capable of charging your phone while you shoot.

Creators will also benefit from the Pro Framing Grid, which uses Insta360’s golden ratio tech to suggest optimal framing angles. Remote control via Apple Watch or a second smartphone ensures no one is left behind the camera, while the optional Insta360 Mic Air accessory and app-based teleprompter make it easier than ever to film high-quality, hands-free content.

The Flow 2 also introduces an AI Tracker for use with third-party apps and includes a built-in spotlight for better low-light performance. After shooting, Insta360’s AI Editing Suite can polish footage automatically, ideal for quick social uploads.

For those needing more advanced shooting options, Flow 2 Pro offers extra hardware features like a tracking ring light, selfie mirror, transparent motor housing, and exclusive modes such as 360 Infinite Pan Tracking and Free Tilt Mode.
