Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2 has a hidden vault that can give you tons of loot to help you secure a win. Here’s where you can find it and how to unlock it.
Fortnite’s Chapter 6, Season 2, which is called “Lawless” and has a heist theme, has finally gone live, bringing all sorts of new content, from Battle Pass cosmetics, POIs, weapons, and so much more.
Fitting to the season’s theme, there’s now also a brand new mechanic that lets you hijack vaults all over the map to get that sweet extra loot.
That said, there is one particular vault that’s hidden and, unlike all the others, requires a specific trick to open it. Here’s everything you need to know about the new secret vault in Chapter 6, Season 2, including its location and how to open it.
Where is the secret vault in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2?
The secret vault can be found in Shiny Shafts, a new POI that has just been added to the game.
Players can find the secret vault in Shiny Shafts.
On the map, this POI is on the middle left side of the island. Meanwhile, the vault itself is quite tucked below the surface of the POI, so you’ll have to run a bit to get there once you’re here.
One thing to keep in mind is that the vault here isn’t marked on the map like the others, hence why it’s considered hidden.
How to open the secret Shiny Shafts vault
Opening the secret vault in Shiny Shafts requires you to find and activate three pressure vaults in the POI within a short time window.
Once all three pressure vaults have been activated, you will then be able to access the vault that’s just slightly below the main building. Overall, it’s a straightforward process, but you do have to be quick. Otherwise, you’ll have to start the process all over again.

The first pressure vault can be found near a zipline of the main building. Once you land at this location, look to the wall near the zipline. There’s a yellow wheel on it, which you need to turn.

Next, use the zipline near you to go towards the more closed area of the building. Keep going forward until the end of the zipline, where you’ll find the second vault. Activate that one as well, then head to the right side of the building.

The third vault is just beside the corner of the wall, near the stairs, and a massive door that appears to be locked. After you turn the wheel of this vault, the locked door next to it should finally open.
Simply go inside it, and all the loot is basically yours.
What’s inside the secret vault?
Like any other secret locations in the game, there are a ton of chests you can loot. Slurp barrels are also plentiful inside here, which is great if you need to heal up and don’t want to waste your Med Kits.
This room also has gold that you surely wouldn’t want to miss out on. Gold is essential this season, and you can use it to hire NPCs if you want.
