How to gift skins in Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals has added a gifting feature in Season 2, so you can send your friends skins to surprise them. Here’s how it works and how to use it.
Marvel Rivals’ Season 2 didn’t just add new skins, Team-up abilities, and balance changes to certain characters, but it also introduced several new features to make the players’ experience even more enjoyable.
Aside from the Switch Shader Compilation Mode that allows you to improve FPS, there’s now a feature that lets you send skins via a gift to your friends. It’s definitely a welcome addition to make things easier to fulfill one’s wish list in terms of skins, but it does come with a few restrictions.
Below, we’ve detailed all the things you need to know to gift skins in the game, including the steps to do it, as well as the requirements and restrictions.
How to use the gift feature in Marvel Rivals
You’ll need to head to the in-game Store and select the “Gift” option to gift a skin to anyone on your friends list.
The feature is overall quite straightforward to use, but there are also some extra steps to keep in mind. Here’s a step-by-step guide to gift skins:
The Gift option will appear when you open the skin or bundle in the Store.
- Launch Marvel Rivals.
- Open the Store tab.
- Select the bundle you want to gift.
- Select the Gift option beside the price tab.
- Choose the recipient of the gift.
- Add a special note on the gifting page if you’d like.
- Confirm your gift by selecting the price option.
- Your friend should now receive the skin or bundle.
You can gift anything that’s featured in the game’s shop. So this does mean that most of the time, you’ll need to buy the whole bundle to send the skin to your friend.
Gifting requirements and restrictions

This screen will pop up when you attempt to gift your friend a skin.
One important thing to keep in mind is that, unlike buying a skin or bundle for your own account, you cannot use Units to pay for a gift.
The gifting feature requires you to pay with Lattice. This means you’ll have to spend real-life money first to buy the exact amount needed in-game to gift the skin, as it also doesn’t let you convert Units to Lattice to add up the latter if it’s not enough.
There are a few other requirements as well to be able to send gifts. To sum it up, we’ve compiled them all below in this list:
- Your account needs to reach a minimum of level 10
- You’re only able to send a maximum of 5 gifts per day
- You cannot gift skins that belong in the Battle Pass, ranked rewards, or event rewards (basically, anything that’s not in the shop)
- Gifts cannot be refunded once they’re sent to the other player
- Gifts can only be paid with Lattices
So, that sums up all you need to know about how to gift skins in NetEase’s competitive shooter. The prices of the skins may be costly to a portion of players, but with this feature, you can help them get the cosmetics they want.
While you’re here, make sure you don’t miss out on some of the free skins as well, such as the Namor Will of Galacta skin from Twitch Drops, the Chaos Gown Scarlet Witch skin, and The Unlimited Thing skin.
