Mace Windu has finally arrived in Fortnite, and the iconic Jedi is available as a skin or you can wield his signature purple Lightsaber.
Galactic Battle has brought plenty of Star Wars content to Fortnite, from map locations like the First Order Base to X-Wings and TIE Fighters. But above all else, it’s introduced a number of legendary characters who have missed out in previous crossovers.
Arguably, the most anticipated of them all is Mace Windu, who was a standout in the prequel trilogy thanks to Samuel L. Jackson’s portrayal and his unmistakable purple Lightsaber.
He finally makes his debut after years of fan requests, so here’s how to get his skin and use his Lightsaber in a match.
How to get Mace Windu Fortnite skin
Mace Windu can be purchased from the in-game store as of May 9, but he doesn’t arrive on the store until it refreshes at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET / 1 AM BST (May 9). According to leaks, he will cost 1,500 V-Bucks.
Alternatively, there’s also a bundle for 2,000 V-Bucks, which contains the following items:
- Mace Windu (Skin)
- Mace’s Model Interceptor (Back Bling)
- Jedi Order Crest (Pickaxe)
- Training Droid Practice (Emote)
- Windu (Wrap)
- Windu (Bass)
Buying one of these is the only way to unlock Mace Windu for yourself. However, you can meet him and even use his Lightsaber.
How to get Mace Windu’s purple Lightsaber
You get Mace Windu’s purple Lightsaber by interacting with his hologram, which will spawn randomly somewhere on the island in every match. This is marked by a purple icon on the map and usually appears towards the end of a game, so simply head there and talk to the Jedi Master.
Once you do, you’ll step through a portal and emerge with the signature Lightsaber in hand, as well as the Force Pull ability. This skill lets you drag enemies towards you, opening them for a deadly close-range attack they won’t see coming.
Mace Windu himself, not as a hologram, is also set to appear on the map at an unknown location. We’ll be sure to update this page with where to find him as soon as he’s added.
