Due to the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) being held in Austria in May 2026, the first High End Show that is scheduled to take place in Vienna in 2026 will be postponed by one week to June 4-7, 2026 (instead of the originally scheduled for May 28-31, 2026). According to the High End Society, the promoter of the audio show, the dates will be the only change, while the move will also cause the first day of the show (Thursday) to be a public holiday in Austria.
The reason for the change is the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), which will be held in Austria in May 2026. Around 500,000 visitors are expected to attend this large-scale event, which will have a significant impact on traffic conditions, accommodation availability, and overall accessibility.
“To ensure a smooth experience for exhibitors, trade visitors, and the public, we have decided — after thorough consideration —to move the date of the trade show,” the High End Society states.
An additional benefit of the new date: June 4, 2026, the opening day of the High End, falls on Corpus Christi, a public holiday in Austria and several German federal states — creating ideal conditions for a relaxed and successful show visit. The only consequence being the need to make sure to book restaurants in advance because many will be closed for the religious holiday.
For four decades, the High End audio trade show has been providing ideas and impetus for manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and consumers of high-quality audio products. The 2025 edition of the High End show, the last one in Munich, Germany, signaled an important transition in the history of this international audio show. After 21 successful years in Munich, the High End is moving to Vienna in 2026. The new location, the Austria Center Vienna, promises to offer everything that the excellent MOC Event Center Messe München never could ensure – room to grow.
