Grand Theft Auto fans are convinced of another actor’s role in GTA 6 as they’ve got some “unmistakable” proof stacking up.
At the start of May, Rockstar Games delivered a hammer blow to the GTA community as they announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 would be delayed until May 26, 2026. However, it wasn’t all bad news.
Shortly after the announcement of the delay, the GTA developers released the long-awaited second trailer, close to 100 new screenshots, and numerous details about different characters.
Those new arrivals have sent GTA fans into a frenzy, searching through the new details for hints about actors, what the story entails, and any nods to old games that Rockstar may have left in there.
GTA fans convinced Stephen Root is Brian Heder
Fans are convinced about some actors’ involvement in the game, including Manni Perez as Lucia and Dylan Rourke as Jason. And they’ve got another to add to that – Stephen Root as Brian Heder.
The actor, who you may recognize from Barry, Dodgeball, and Office Space, has a number of Rockstar references in his work, including the devs’ logo in full view during an episode of Grounded for Life.
“He sounds basically exactly like his character in Barry, who just happens to be a handler for assassination contracts. I’m surprised there’s anyone who doubts that it’s him, haha, his voice is unmistakable,” one fan added.
Another pointed out that Root is in King of the Hill, which even parodies GTA with an episode called ‘Grand Theft Arlen’ with a game called Pro-Pain.
“If it’s not Stephen Root, it’s someone doing a helluva Stephen Root imitation,” another said. “That is 1000% Stephen Root, I immediately recognized the voice,” commented another.
Rockstar have not yet announced any of the voice actors involved with Grand Theft Auto 6, leaving fans to do some digging. This is the most they’ve dug outside of the two main characters, and it seems they’re onto something.
