GTA 5 star chimes in on new GTA 6 theory involving his daughter

GTA 5 star Ned Luke has amusingly shut down a new GTA 6 fan theory, one that suggests his in-game daughter is set to make to return.

It’s now been more than 500 days since Rockstar gave fans the first proper look at GTA 6. The game’s reveal trailer has since been poured over for thousands of hours by the most hardcore and, in some cases, the most stir-crazy as everyone awaits the next scrap of information.

Every week there seems to be a wild new theory stemming from the original footage, predicting not only the game’s release date, but even when the next trailer may be released. It’s safe to say we’re all getting a little loopy.

Some theories, however, are a little more out there than others. In various instances, even those involved in prior GTA titles have spoken up to calm fans down. That’s exactly what’s happened here again, as GTA 5’s Michael De Santa, Ned Luke, has bluntly shut down another wild point of speculation.

Ned Luke shuts down new GTA 6 fan theory

Throughout the initial GTA 6 trailer, dozens of NPCs can be seen getting up to all sorts of wacky antics. Some are twerking on the roofs of cars, others are watering the garden in their underwear; it’s all there in the fictional town of Leonida.

One particular NPC, however, has recently caught the attention of some in the community. A blonde character covered in mud near the end of the trailer has come into question. Some have argued that, besides from sharing blonde hair, the bone structure of her face is akin to that of Tracey De Santa in GTA 5.

Now, could Michael’s daughter up and leave Los Santos for a new adventure in Leonida? It’s certainly possible. But before the theory got any real momentum behind it, the character’s dad spoke up to shut it all down.

Replying with a simple facepalm emoji on X (formerly Twitter), Ned Luke put an abrupt stop to speculation on this particular theory.

Given Rockstar tends to move on from its previous cast of characters, it’s unlikely we’ll see any returning figures from GTA 5. At least, not in the singleplayer component.

When Dexerto spoke with Ned Luke back in February, the actor left the door open for a unique comeback of sorts in GTA Online.

“You never know what Rockstar is going to do,” he said. “If you look at GTA Online, for example, you know, Michael hasn’t been back in GTA Online. Maybe he’s coming back for a final DLC, maybe he’s not. Maybe we’ll all be in GTA 6 Online, maybe not.”
